-- The CP-DW10N 3LCD Projector Features Short-Throw Display Capabilities, Networking Functionality And WXGA Resolution --
CHULA VISTA, California, January 15, 2010 — Hitachi America, Ltd., Digital Media Division, Business Solutions Group, is introducing the CP-DW10N 3LCD projector, combining short throw capabilities with networking functionality and widescreen display,. The CP-DW10N is the ideal projector for presenting on interactive whiteboards.
The Hitachi CP-DW10N features a short throw distance of three feet, projecting an 80-inch image, while eliminating image obstruction in front of the screen. The CP-DW10N projector can be controlled and maintained through a LAN network connection, providing the ability to network, control and maintain the projectors remotely. The network functionality is capable of controlling multiple projectors in different rooms, as well as monitoring for functions such as remaining lamp life.
In addition, the Hitachi CP-DW10N features WXGA (1280 x 800) resolution and a 16:10 aspect ratio, making the projector compatible with widescreen laptop computers and providing the ability to project on an 87-inch-wide interactive whiteboard from a distance of 37 inches.
The CP-DW10N projector also offers numerous features that ease administration and maintenance. For example, the projector’s Messenger function transmits text data from a remote computer to the projector via the network allowing the projector to display the message. This is ideal for campus notifications, school activities, daily schedules, and community/local news.
The CP-DW10N also features a hybrid filter, making maintenance and cleaning less frequent, translating into longer operation. With the hybrid filter, cleaning frequency is extended to 4,000 hours. The CP-DW10N is equipped with advanced security features, including a security bar that allows the easy attachment of a security chain. By using the CP-DW10N’s PIN lock, the projector can limit the number of users. In addition, the transition detector can prevent unauthorized use of the projector.
The CP-DW10N projector is also ideal for teachers and students, as well as small conference rooms. With the projector’s Template Function, the projector can display lines, circles and a world map, making it easier to write on an interactive whiteboard. With the CP-DW10N’s Partial Magnification Function, presenters can magnify part of an image up to four times. The CP-DW10N also provides a 10W audio output, eliminating the need for external speakers. Furthermore, an HDMI input terminal allows the projector to receive digital video signals without any loss in quality.
