Slovenian Broadcasting Company, Radio Murski Val, Celebrates 50th Anniversary By Honoring Studer OnAir 3000

REGENSDORF, Switzerland- A Slovenian leader in the production of digital broadcasts, Radio Murski val, celebrates its 50th anniversary and credits Studer products for much of their recent broadcasting success. From the modest beginnings of only a few hours of broadcasting per week and Yugoslavian political obstacles, Radio Murski val chose Studer equipment in 1989, which has transformed it into one of the most listened-to broadcasters in the country. In 2007, Radio Murski val made the transition into digital broadcasting and has continued the digital trend with the acquisition of Studer’s OnAir3000.

The Studer OnAir 3000 further extends Studer's range of digital broadcast consoles with a design aimed at the medium to upper segment of the radio market including private and public network broadcast stations. The operating concept of the OnAir 3000 will be very familiar to Studer users. The wide range of compact and elegant control surface modules incorporates the same patented "Touch'nAction" philosophy as the highly successful Studer OnAir 2000, using color GUI screens.

“At Radio Murski val, we chose the Studer OnAir 3000 because of it’s flexibility, quick and intuitive operation, and the reliable networking capabilities that allow us to connect to other broadcast signals in our station,” states Studio Manager Franc Horvat of Radio Murski val. “We did not have to give the decision much thought, despite there being many different mixing consoles on the market. Our years of satisfaction with Studer products made the selection of the OnAir 3000 very easy,” Horvat continued.

The OnAir 3000 design is based on a completely modular desk and a new DSP engine. The fader module includes six fader strips, and up to eight fader modules may be fitted, giving a maximum console size of 48 faders. Layout options range from a highly comprehensive engineer-operated continuity console to a single fader panel for DJ and newsroom use or even a PC-operated system with no physical desk controls. The console has three main stereo mix buses plus an audition facility, four stereo aux. buses, 16 mix-minus sends, configurable as AUXes and three independent studio monitoring circuits and offers full dynamics, EQ and input/output routing in each channel.
